Rock Island to Cedars of Lebanon to Nashville

Steve A. and I are bicycle touring, self supported from Rock Island State Park on Saturday to Cedars of Lebanon State Park.  The idea is to shake out our gear/system before we ride the Natchez Trace.  One-way drop-off’s are a pretty good way to tour.

Camp at Rock Island State Park on Friday night.

  1. Ride < 60 miles from Rock Island State Park to Cedars of Lebanon.  Route isn’t perfect, and probably won’t be when we’re done.  We’ll at least figure out how screwed up it is!
  2. Spend the night at Cedars of Lebanon State Park Saturday night.
  3. Ride < 40 miles from Cedars of Lebanon State Park into Nashville via the Percy Priest Dam, Stones River Greenway, Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge and Shelby Bottoms Greenway, back through Nashville to my house.  Make it to the parking area below the dam and start asking bicyclists for directions to the pedestrian bridge.  It’s not clear how to get across Lebanon Road.
